The vent piece is a terrible size. Instructions say to drill a 1/3 hole. It would much better if the hole was a standard drill size since 1/3 in bits are offside. Also the cap has threads to screw onto the spout but the spout has no threads. The cap is difficult to keep on.
Sometimes the government just tries too hard to keep us safe. These spouts are easier to use on a 5 gallon container than the one that came with it. Filling a lawn mower tank can be daunting sometimes. Filling with the new style I keep over filling because I am constantly trying to keep the safety valve open will pouring and can't see how much liquid is coming out. The old method was simple, and these spouts bring back that method with a fairly clear spout to see the flow.
